Covid-19 Updates

May 29, 2020 Update
Hello Gunpowder Baptist Church,

I am excited to announce that Baltimore County has loosened restrictions on church worship gatherings beginning today, Friday, May 29th at 5pm. This means that we are able to begin to meet again!

So join me this Sunday, May 31st @ 10:15am down at the pavilion as we get to gather again as a church family.

This is going to be a shorter/modified service to prepare us for our official “Church Re-opening” on Sunday, June 7th when we begin our regular order of service.

We are taking as many precautions as possible to ensure that our members and visitors are safe.
- We will be meeting for our worship services outside under the pavilion for as long as we possibly can to try and
     limit the spread of germs.
- Sunday school and Children’s Church will not be resuming over the summer. Look for them to begin again in the
     fall.
- We will be practicing social distancing of 6ft. while meeting. The picnic tables will be spread out underneath the
pavilion, you are welcome to bring a chair and sit in the field or around the pavilion, or you may want to remain
in your car during the service in which case we will have the parking spots closest to the pavilion reserved for         you. Families are welcome to sit together but please refrain from sitting together with others.
- We are asking that there be as little contact between people as possible (Please refrain from hugging,
     handshaking, etc.)
- You are welcome and encouraged to wear a face mask.
- There will be hand sanitizer throughout the pavilion.
- Bathrooms and door handles in the church facility will be cleaned and sanitized for your use.
- Offering boxes will be throughout the pavilion for giving of tithes and offerings.

We ask in accordance with the CDC:
- Please do not go into the church facilities except to use the restrooms. (Be sure to wash your hands!)
- If you have a fever, are coughing, or experiencing shortness of breath, stay home and rest.
- Please do not touch your face, mouth, eyes, or nose.
- If you are considered a high risk due to health problems, please use your discretion in whether it is a good idea
for you to attend at this time.
-If you do not feel comfortable in coming out, please do not feel pressured to attend. We want each of our
members to do what they feel is the best and safest thing for them and their families.

The services will continue to be recorded and added to the church website and YouTube following the worship service for you to view if you are unable to come.

I am so excited to be meeting in person again and I hope that you are as well.

Looking forward to seeing many of you on Sunday.

Pastor Jim
