When do you meet?

The worship service begins at 10:15am each Sunday. You can expect the service to last approximately 75 minutes.

We also invite you to our Sunday school hour for all ages starting at 9:00am.

What should I wear and am I expected to give money?

We focus on the person rather than the dress. You will fit in at GBC whether you are dressed up or prefer a more casual look. You will see a wide range of styles at our services.

As our guest, you are not expected to give.  We have offering boxes in our Welcome Center for members to contribute to the needs of the church, as well as, missions work in our city, state, country and around the world.

What will the music and message be like?

Our worship music is a mixture of hymns and modern worship songs. We primarily use worship videos recorded by our sister church, Hunter First Baptist, in Elizabethon, TN. We focus on selecting songs that communicate the truths of the Bible and the greatness of our God.

We believe that the Bible is God’s truth. We seek to understand and apply God’s truth to our lives. Our Bible teaching is expositional with an emphasis on application. Our lead pastor is the primary Bible teacher, and we has others share the teaching ministry.

Do you recognize guests during the service?

During the worship service, visitors are never singled out or embarrassed.  However, before and after the service members will seek to  meet and get to know your family.

We would love it if you would fill out a Connection Card so that we can serve and care for you more effectively.

What is available for children?

We love children! They are not a distraction, but a vital part of our community. We believe scripture teaches the value of children learning from the examples of adults. We seek to engage children in our worship services with children's songs, animation and message-related activity pages.

We do not offer children's church during the worship service. We do have an area in the worship center with activities for more active toddlers and their parents.

What if I or my family member has a disability?

The main entrance to the church is wheelchair-accessible.  We are working hard on making our facilities more accessible and comfortable for all of our guests.

GBC is a church that strives to not only intentionally reach out to the disability community, but to include them into the life and work of the church.

How do I get there and what about parking?

Our building is located at 20074 Middletown Rd, Freeland Maryland. You can get directions from your location here.

There is plenty of parking available in our parking lot as well as many easily accessible handicap spots.
